Poker Night at The BAR

The BAR Fitness will be hosting the 2nd Annual Mountain Pointe Baseball poker tournament on Friday, December 18th.  Last year's event helped raise more than 5K for the baseball program and hopefully with your help they can do even better this year.

To get signed up, email Coach Brandon Buck and get on the "A List" for the event. Space is limited so be sure to get signed up right away.

Plan on poker in the main room and black jack in the athletic side (if you get knocked out early). 

It should be a great time and a lot of fun.  Can't wait to see you all there.

 

Online Scheduling (please sign up ASAP)!

It's finally here.  You've all asked for it and now it's up and running.  Just click on www.mindbodyonline.com, go to clients, type in bar fitness and sign up! Soon this link will be on our website for easy access to the schedule. This is how we will be scheduling appointments from here on out so become familiar with it.  You can still sign up at the studio in person or with a phone call.   This is also how you can sign up for training packages, buy BAR swag, smoothies and anything else that you want billed to your account.  Be sure to put in the credit card that you want to use for such items otherwise it won't let you buy anything or sign up for anything after January 1st.

For those of you who are still on ASF, you will remain on that billing system until your program is due for renewal and then your conversion to mindbody will start.

Fifth Annual BAR Adopt a Family

For the last five years the BAR has adopted a family in need of a little holiday spirit. This year we have received a family of 5 who could use our help.  A tree will be at the front of the gym with name tags and gift ideas for each of the family members.

I can tell you first hand that this experience is one of the most fulfilling events that we do at the BAR and something that I look forward to every year.  To watch the faces of the kids as we bring in the gifts is something that is tough to describe and is always very emotional.

I would encourage each of you to grab a tag or two and help give back, especially in such a tough economic time.   Also, if anyone wants to help with delivery of the gifts to the family, you are more than welcome to come and help.

Spencer's Lego Land Smiles

I thought I would pass on a couple of photo's from Spencer's LegoLand trip.  As you can see, Spencer and his family had a blast. His mother, April, wanted me to express her gratitude for helping to make this dream come true.  Three days of non stop lego land action.  Roller coasters, beach time and three years worth of smiles! 

 

 

 

 

 

Saturday Morning Hiking

For the past month, Kevin has been taking groups of BAR members on random hikes in an attempt at conquering all of South Mountain. So far the group is 4 hikes in and a dozen or so left to finish the goal.

Club Hybrid

Have you noticed the lights in the rafters?  I guess the only way to find out what they are for is to come to Wednesday night Hybrid at 5:30pm.  Once the sun goes down, Hybrid turns into the ultimate workout experience.  Pumping music, kettle bell mania with a Vegas twist!  The only issue is, with all the endorphins running through your body it might be a little tough calming yourself down before you head home!
